Written by the director together with Nathalie Hertzberg, the story hinges on the wrong encounter in the wrong place, at the wrong time – and Samson Cazalet becomes the right person. Samson, a taxi driver, picks up Louise Lablache from the airport. A few hours later, Louise’s daughter disappears, and there is some “evidence” that incriminates Samson. He is remanded in custody, put on trial, convicted and sentenced, but in a dramatic turn of events, the real kidnapper is found, and the little girl is returned safe and sound. But how can he feel like he’s innocent when people’s glances are still so laden with insinuation?

Produced by Anne Derré and Agathe Berman for Legato Films, Arrêtez-moi là is co-produced by Belgian outfit Nexus Factory. Having been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature is also being backed by the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, and the Sofitvciné 2 and Manon 5 Soficas. The shoot, which will wrap on 27 November, is taking place in Grasse and Nice, with Alain Marcoen (nominated for the Magritte Award in his category in 2011 and 2012 for The Boat Race [+see also:
