 Today begins in the Yvelines region the shooting of the first feature film as a director by young actress Hélène Zimmer (photo): Being 14. The film is a realistic chronicle on adolescence, whose cast features Athalia Routier, Galatéa Bellugi, Najaa Bensaid, Françoise Lebrun and Dinara Droukarova.

Written by the neo-filmmaker, the screenplay starts at the beginning of the school year. Sarah is wondering which boy she should choose, Louise hopes to find a more peaceful home at her grandmother’s house and Jade is questioning her place in this trio of friends. One last year to get through before high school...

Produced by Kristina Larsen for Les Films du LendemainBeing 14 was pre-purchased by Canal+ and benefits from the backing of the Ile-de-France region, the pool LBPI-Manon and Manon Production 2. The French distribution will be handled by Ad Vitam while international sales are still being negotiated.
