As the Marché du Film of the 75th Cannes Film Festival kicked off yesterday, some French international sales companies have already made several announcements.

Wild Bunch International (read the news line-up) in tandem with CAA Media Finance is launching pre-sales for Audrey Diwan's Emmanuelle (Golden Lion with Venice last year with Happening [+leggi anche:

), a new adaptation of Emmanuelle Arsan's erotic novel, published in 1959 and brought to the screen in 1974 with a worldwide cult success. The script for the new version, which will be made into an English-language feature film with Léa Seydoux in the lead role, was written by Audrey Diwan and Rebecca Zlotowski. The production is being handled by Chantelouve.

mk2 Films adds to its line-up (news) Justine Triet's Anatomy of a Fall [+leggi anche:

 with German actress Sandra Hüller, Swann Arlaud, the young Milo Machado Graner and Jehnny Beth – a Les Films Pelléas and Les Films de Pierre production which has just finished shooting. Also for mk2 film, Highway 65 will be Maya Dreifuss' first feature film, produced by the Israelis of 2-Team Productions with the French of TS Productions.


Finally, Kinology announces the arrival on its line-up of Il sol dell'avvenire [+leggi anche:

by Italian director Nanni Moretti, produced by Fandango and Sacher Film with Rai Cinema, and currently shooting in Rome with Mathieu Amalric, Margherita Buy, Silvio Orlando, Barbora Bobulova, the director himself, Elena Lietti and Jerzy Stuhr.
