As the Marché du Film of the 75th Cannes Film Festival kicked off yesterday, some French international sales companies have already made several announcements.

Wild Bunch International (read the news line-up) in tandem with CAA Media Finance is launching pre-sales for Audrey Diwan's Emmanuelle (Golden Lion with Venice last year with Happening [+leggi anche:

scheda film]), a new adaptation of Emmanuelle Arsan's erotic novel, published in 1959 and brought to the screen in 1974 with a worldwide cult success. The script for the new version, which will be made into an English-language feature film with Léa Seydoux in the lead role, was written by Audrey Diwan and Rebecca Zlotowski. The production is being handled by Chantelouve.
