), the story begins when Samuel is found dead in the snow outside the isolated chalet where he lived with his wife Sandra, a German writer, and their partially-sighted 11-year-old son Daniel. An investigation leads to a conclusion of "suspicious death": it’s impossible to know for sure whether he took his own life or was killed. Sandra is indicted, and we follow her trial which pulls the couple’s relationship apart. Daniel is caught in the middle: between the trial and their home life, doubts take their toll on the mother-son relationship…

Anatomy of a Fall is produced by David Thion and Philippe Martin on behalf of Les Films Pelléas and by Marie-Ange Luciani for Les Films de Pierre, in co-production with France 2 Cinéma and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Cinéma. Pre-purchased by Canal+, Ciné+ and France 2, the feature film is also supported by the CNC via an advance on receipts, as well as by the Nouvelle Aquitaine region and the SOFICA companies Indéfilms, Cofinova, Cinémage, Cineventure and Cinecap. The nine-week film shoot will wrap on 13 May, with Simon Beaufils (nominated for last year’s César in his speciality, thanks to My Donkey, My Lover and I [+leggi anche:
