The remaining projects selected for the 2021 Atelier are Jilah and the Man with Two Names by Indonesia’s Yosep Anggi Noen, Parle-moi de 1985 by the French-Lebanese director Zalfa Seurat and Viet and Nam by Minh Quý Truong.

Created in 2005 with a view to encouraging creative filmmaking and fostering the emergence of a new generation of filmmakers by helping round off funding on their films, the Cinéfondation Atelier has, to date, thrown its weight behind 246 projects, 172 of which have since been released on screen and 23 are currently in pre-production. The initiative will see the selected 2021 candidates attending Cannes between 8 and 13 July, in the company of their producers, and taking part in individual meetings with professionals who are interested in their projects. The Atelier’s Project Book can be downloaded here, whilst registration for meetings is taking place via the Festicine platform.
