Berlin-based international sales agent Films Boutique is all set for the 71st Berlinale and the upcoming European Film Market (EFM, 1-5 March), clutching two titles that will be taking aim at the Golden Bear, one documentary in Berlinale Special, and four Market Screenings.

Starting off with the Berlinale Competition, German filmmaker Maria Speth returns seven years after her latest film, Daughters [+leggi anche:

. Co-penned by the director and Reinhold Vorschneider, the film portrays the bond between an elementary school teacher and his students. His unconventional methods clash with the complex social and cultural realities of the provincial German industrial town they live in. The documentary was produced by Speth for Madonnen Film.

The other contender for the Golden Bear is Hungarian writer-director Bence Fliegauf, winner of the Grand Jury Prize at Berlin in 2012 with Just the Wind [+leggi anche:

, who has made his seventh feature, Forest - I See You Everywhere [+leggi anche:

Written by Fliegauf, it follows in the footsteps of his debut feature, Forest, with a story that takes place “within the feverish labyrinth of everyday life and relationships, featuring characters who are trying to get to the bottom of what is arguably the biggest secret of their lives: the other”. Produced by Erno Mesterházy, Bence Fliegauf and Mónika Mécs for Fraktál Film and M&M Film, the movie was made in co-production with Ági Pataki and Gábor Kovacs for FilmPartners.

, the latest documentary by Marc Bauder, winner of Best European Documentary at the EFAs for Master of the Universe [+leggi anche:

, is featured in Berlinale Special. Inspired by the book by Roger Willemsen, the film observes the current state of the world, accompanied by six intellectuals and scientists who reflect on the present and postulate about the future. The documentary was produced by Marc Bauder for bauderfilm in co-production with Hessischer Rundfunk, Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg, Südwestrundfunk, ARTE and Hanfgarn & Ufer.

As for the Market Screenings, Films Boutique is showcasing the Sundance-premiered biographical documentary The Most Beautiful Boy in the World [+leggi anche:
