, which has only just won an award at the 17th Seville European Film Festival (see the news), will open the 27th L’Alternativa Barcelona Independent Film Festival – with an added master class set to be given by its director, Luis López Carrasco, to boot. , a black-and-white film about a gay encounter, shot in New York, which was written and directed by David Moragas (who also stars in it).

Lastly, of particular note among L’Alternativa 2020’s professional activities (which are also all set to be held online) are the eighth edition of its Mentoring Projects (a programme of events aimed at fostering creative potential and exploring possible avenues for the completion and circulation of 20 projects, listed here); the seventh Pitching Forum of the GAC (Associated Screenwriters of Catalonia), a meeting point where screenwriters, production companies and platforms can come together (in which eight projects at the writing stage are taking part – more details here); and a conference scheduled for tomorrow, 17 November, which is dedicated to providing creative support during the development of projects, and which will focus primarily on the role of the advisor, mentor or consultant.
