Freely inspired by Hédi Tillette de Clermont-Tonnerre’s play Pourquoi mes frères et moi on est parti… , the script written by Yohan Manca takes place during the summer holidays. Nour is a 14-year-old boy who lives in a popular neighborhood by the sea. Between his elder brothers’ misfortunes and his mother’s absence, Nour’s encounter with the young opera singer Sarah offers him the opportunity to escape the stifling heat of the sun, of his brothers and of his neighborhood…

Produced by Julien Madon and Camille Rich for Single Man Productions, Mes frères, et moi was pre-bought by Canal+ and Ciné+, and benefits from the support of the CNC (through an advance on receipts and the Images de la diversité fund), of the Occitanie region (production aide), as well as the Sofitvcine and Manon Soficas. For the record, the project went through the Ateliers d'Angers in 2019. Filming took place in Sète, le Grau d'Agde, Frontignan and Montpellier with Marco Graziaplena (Mektoub, My Love: Canto Uno [+leggi anche:
