The first feature film directed by seasoned French producer Patrick Sobelman, but also by his son Hugo Sobelman, the documentary Golda Maria will be showcased to fantastic effect, given that it’s set to be unveiled in the Berlinale Special section of the 70th Berlin International Film Festival (running 20 February – 1 March).
Back in 1994, Patrick Sobelman (who has produced somewhere in the region of one hundred feature films, recently including Blind Spot [+leggi anche:

Over two decades later, with his son Hugo, they have given form to Golda’s story in a loving portrait which not only unveils family secrets but is also the testimony of a brave and impetuous woman. A woman who survived deportation, as revealed in the Berlinale’s Special Screenings press release.
Produced by Carine Ruszniewski on behalf of GoGoGo Films and by Muriel Meynard on behalf of Agat Films, Golda Maria was granted an advance on earnings (upon the film’s completion) by the CNC and enjoys the support of the French Shoah foundation (La Fondation pour la Mémoire de la Shoah). French cinema distribution will be entrusted to Ad Vitam, with sales in the hands of mk2 Films.
Founded in June 2018, Gogogo Films can already lay claim to Raphaël Pfeiffer’s documentary L’Oeil du tigre [+leggi anche:
