), the story centres around Ève who used to be the world’s most renowned rose breeder. Now outmoded and embittered, she’s on the verge of bankruptcy. Véra, her faithful assistant, believes she has a brilliant idea for saving the Roses Vernet empire… Eve should hire Samir, Nadège and Fred, three no-hopers on a jobseekers’ training scheme without any horticultural experience. Though they have nothing in common, they come together to embark upon a very specific mission: the theft of a rare rose...

Produced by Stéphanie Carreras and Philippe Pujo for Estrella Productions, The Rose Maker is co-produced by France 3 Cinéma and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Cinéma. Pre-purchased by France Télévisions, OCS and Ciné+, the feature film is likewise supported by the SOFICA companies Sofitvciné, Palatine Etoile and Cinéaxe. Filming will last a total of eight weeks, unfolding in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and the Île-de-France region, with Guillaume Deffontaines (César-nominated in his category in 2017 for Slack Bay [+leggi anche:
