The Sarajevo Film Festival's regional platform dedicated to documentary projects in advanced stages of the editing process, Docu Rough Cut Boutique, organised in collaboration with the Balkan Documentary Centre, announced the awards of its ninth edition last night in Sarajevo's Festival Square.
The Bulgarian project Legacy by Petya Nackova picked up two awards: from HBO Europe (€2,000) and Digital Cube (€20,000 in post-production services). This Contrast Films production tells the story of Tanya and her family, who are all dedicated to her school for deaf children. When she falls ill, their lives are turned upside down, and Tanya and her husband have to go abroad to find the right treatment. Left alone, their older daughter Kathy (20) has to manage the school and take care of her younger sister, Yana (16).
Holy Father by Romanian filmmaker Andrei Dascalescu (Planet Petrila [+leggi anche:

Both Hungarian projects taking part in the programme were also awarded: Máté Kőrösi pocketed the €2,000 Cat&Docs Award for The Divas, while Asia Dér and Sára Haragonics will present their project It's Her Story at the DOK Preview in Leipzig.
