For the ninth year running, Polish Days, the New Horizons International Film Festival’s leading industry event, will present the majority of the most highly anticipated forthcoming titles from the national film industry. Over 200 professional guests hailing from Poland and abroad will have a chance to be brought up to speed on the latest developments from 30 July-1 August, during the 19th New Horizons International Film Festival (25 July-3 August) in Wrocław. The selection of 23 film projects spans every stage of production, as five completed films, ten works in progress and eight projects in development will be showcased.

Jan Komasa’s eagerly awaited third feature-length drama, Corpus Christi [+leggi anche:

(see the news), will be one of the five completed films that will be having closed screenings at Polish Days, ahead of its world premiere at the 16th edition of Venice’s Giornate degli Autori (see the news). Xawery Żuławski (Snow White and Russian Red [+leggi anche:

Polish Days is co-organised with the Ministry of Culture and the Polish Film Institute, while one of the partners is EAVE, which will offer a scholarship for the EAVE 2020 Producers Workshop. Also, connecting cottbus and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg are organising an event focused on Polish-German co-productions. Other Polish Days partners include Coloroffon, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, the British Council, the Lower Silesian Film Centre, the Wrocław Film Commission, the Krakow Film Commission, the Łódź Film Commission, the Mazovia Warsaw Film Commission, the Podkarpackie Film Commission, the Warmia-Masuria Film Fund, the Silesia Film Commission and DI Factory.
