The shoot for Stowaway by Joe Penna is taking place in Germany – more specifically, in the Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia regions – until 23 July. Stowaway is Penna's second feature, after Arctic [+leggi anche:

, which premiered at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and starred Mads Mikkelsen. For this new international co-production, a science-fiction thriller, Penna is once again teaming up with Ryan Morrison, who will serve as his co-writer and editor. The story of the movie revolves around a mission on Mars that is placed in jeopardy and could be doomed to failure, as the titular undiscovered stowaway (played by Shamier Anderson) unintentionally wreaks irreparable damage on the spaceship.

Stowaway is being produced by German companies augenschein Filmproduktion and Rise Pictures, in co-production with the USA’s XYZ films, RainMaker Films and Yale Productions. XYZ is in charge of the world sales, and Wild Bunch Germany has the rights for the German-speaking countries as well as France.
