The second edition of the GoCritic! training programme for emerging film journalists and critics will take place at the 30th Trieste Film Festival, from 18-25 January.

This time around, GoCritic! has selected five participants, all of them women. They have been chosen from among 31 applicants from all over Europe. GoCritic! opted for an all-female team in support of recent developments in women's rights, and their representation in the film industry and society in general. Of course, all of the selected participants have also been able to demonstrate their high calibre of writing in the audiovisual field. 

At the 30th Trieste Film Festival, Carlotta Centonze (Italy), Liina Laugesaar (Estonia/UK), Barbara Sorger (Austria), Zuzana Sotáková (Slovakia) and Mina Stanikić (Serbia) will be writing about Central and Eastern European cinema, which is the focus of the festival, penning reviews and conducting interviews with filmmakers. They will also have the chance to get to know the European film industry by attending the When East Meets West pitching sessions and panels.
