The story, written by the director, revolves around Victor, a disillusioned sixty-something whose marriage is on the rocks, and whose life is turned upside down one day when Antoine, a brilliant entrepreneur, suggests he take a different kind of amusement ride: by blending theatrical trickery and historical re-enactment, the company allows its customers to return to the time period of their choosing. Victor thus opts to relive the most memorable week of his life: the one when, 40 years earlier, he met his true love...

Produced by François Kraus and Denis Pineau-Valencienne for Les Films du Kiosque, La Belle Époque is being co-produced by Orange StudioPathé FilmsFrance 2 Cinéma and Hugar Prod. Having been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature has also secured support from the Indéfilms, Palatine Étoile, SG Image and La Banque Postale Image Soficas. The French distribution and international sales will be handled by Pathé and Orange Studio.
