Krass Klassenfahrt is at present one of the most successful German-language webseries, with more than 1 million subscribers and over 221 million views. The chaotic high-school class at the centre of the story is made up of a cast of young actors, influencers and YouTubers. Among the main protagonists are Jonas Ems, the “inventor” of the series, as well as Vivien König, Kayla Shyx, Jamie Birell and hip-hop world champion Sydney Amoo. Ems, who lives in Berlin, is an actor, moderator, producer and writer who operates various social-media channels, on which he can boast nearly 3 million followers.

To celebrate their graduation, the class of a Berlin high school sets off to Croatia, accompanied by two of their teachers, who are supposed to be taking care of the students. But the trip soon gets out of hand as wannabe rapper McLarry finds out that his idol, musician Zeno, is in Croatia, too. In order to find his villa, McLarry and some of the other kids get sucked into the adventure of a lifetime. Stressed-out teachers, lovesickness and anxiety about the future come together in this youth-orientated comedy, which aims to be as authentic and as true to life as possible.

The film is a production by LEONINE Studios in collaboration with moonvibe, the production company co-owned by Jonas Ems himself, and Odeon Fiction. LEONINE is also in charge of its distribution.
