German Films, the information and advisory centre for the promotion of German films worldwide, has announced the participants in the sixth edition of Face to Face. The international initiative promoting the wealth and diversity of talent has shaped the German audiovisual industry over the last five years. While the previous editions of “Faces” always focused on one profession – for example, actors, directors and screenwriters – this year's campaign, entitled “Face to Face with German Films – The Filmmakers”, will showcase a wide range of exceptional filmmaking talent across various disciplines, representing a cross-section of the many creative faces of German filmmaking today. In detail, the focus will be on personalities with very different biographies and artistic approaches, representing the variety of influences and perspectives of both industry professionals and audiences in Germany as well as internationally. For the first time, the selection includes a costume designer, a composer, a storyboard artist and a cinematographer, as well as two directors and two actors.

fiche film], the TV movie Herren), Sarah Blaßkiewitz (Precious Ivie, the TV series Druck), actress Tua El-Fawwal (her role in the TV series Druck landed her the German Acting Award for Best Newcomer last year), director Annekatrin Hendel (her latest documentary, Banished to Paradise, will premiere on RBB on 17 March), actress Lorna Ishema (Precious Ivie, the TV series Breaking Even and Der Überfall), storyboard artist Laila Petersen-Jama (Knight Rusty, The Little Dragon Coconut, Capt’n Sharky [+lire aussi :

Freya Arde, Ulé Barcelos, Sarah Blaßkiewitz and Lorna Ishema will discuss their work during a panel taking place online during the Berlinale, which will be available on the German Films YouTube and Vimeo channels from 3 March.
