) and takes place in 1960 Colombia. It tells the story of Polsky, a lonely and grumpy Holocaust survivor living in the countryside, who suspects that his new neighbor might be none other than Adolf Hitler. As nobody believes him, he embarks on a mission to find the evidence that will prove him right and soon enough realises that the only way to do so is to befriend his neighbour…

Director Leon Prudovsky comments: "My Neighbor Adolf is a comedy. Because a Holocaust survivor, who believes his new neighbor is Hitler, is comic. Because an old man obsessively conducting an absurd investigation is comic. But then again, the story is more of a tragedy. Because loneliness is tragic… The real dramatic question of the film is not about the new neighbor's true identity, but whether the two lonely old men can overcome their prejudices and suspicions and build a friendship based on their common humanity."

Thorsten Ritter of Beta Cinemas adds: "My Neighbour Adolf is striking that delicate balance between the tragic and the comedic, like Haim and Estee managed so beautifully as producers on our former collaboration, the international hit The Farewell Party [+lire aussi :

. We feel it is important to keep telling stories about the Holocaust and survival and the life thereafter, but in doing so you can be edgy and mindful at the same time; this doesn't need to be a contradiction. And we feel international distributors are highly anticipating this movie for that very reason."
