The application process is now open until 21 October for the first edition of the European Co-Productions Meeting, which will be held on 13 and 14 November during this year’s Seville European Film Festival. Organised by ANCINE (the Association of Andalusian Film Production Companies) and AGICI (the General Association of Independent Film-Audiovisual Industries) in association with Cineuropa, and funded by the Film Department of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (Mibac), the initiative is aimed at independent Italian and Spanish producers interested in co-production, who have fiction projects or documentaries in the development phase for which they’re looking for co-producers or have the potential to be co-produced by each of the two countries. Projects should already have a producer in place, as well as 30% of the budget, at the time of registration.

In order to apply, candidates will need to submit a first draft of the script in either its original language (Italian/Spanish) or in English. The application should include a creative dossier written in English providing the main project details: title, logline, synopsis, note of intent, director, producer, production company, biography and company profile.

A maximum of 10 projects will be selected: 4 Italian and 6 Spanish, half of which will be Andalusian. The selected projects will have 7 minutes to deliver their presentation (pitch) and will be allowed to use visual support materials. They will also be able to take advantage of exclusive, individual meetings with other participants, producers and sector professionals specifically invited to the event, which will be held entirely in English.

A jury composed of three film professionals will award two prizes: €3,000 in cash for the development of the winning project, and the Sound Art Prize, that is, €5,000 in post-production services (editing and sound mixing).

The selected projects will be announced on 30 October 2019. For further information, please click here.
