by Nir Bergman. Among Rosamont’s future projects (the name is taken from a verse by Friulian poet Pierluigi Cappello and means “red sunset”) there is also Battiston’s directorial debut with Due, from the novel Bouvard and Pécuchet by Gustave Flaubert, in collaboration with Minimum Fax Media and Tucker Film.

, Katja Colja’s debut. Battiston is very well known to the public, who have appreciated him in the films of Silvio Soldini (Bread and Tulips earned him the David di Donatello Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2000), Carlo Mazzacurati and Cristina Comencini, and recently in the first films by young auteurs such as Matteo Oleotto, Andrea Segre, Antonio Padovan and Annarita Zambrano.

“After working for years in the theatre,” Marica Stocchi explained, “I had the occasion of dealing with the audiovisual: with TV at first, then with cinema. And I fell in love. The complicity with the artists — actors, writers, directors — in cinema, like in theatre, is the resource I rely on the most, because that is where everything always starts. Our production company was funded with the desire to put this passion of mine to the service of projects that I will follow completely, from the idea to the final product.” Battiston adds: “I saw in Marica Stocchi the same passion that moves me. We have decided to create a company that could represent us. We have begun a long, long journey.”
