, which is due to be screened in world premiere in Berlinale's Panorama section. Directed by Federico Bondi – his second film after Black Sea [+lire aussi :

in 2009, which won an award at Locarno – Dafne stars the impressive Carolina Raspanti, a writer from Romagna with Down’s Syndrome. The film was produced Vivo Film with RAI Cinema.

The European Film Market promo-reel of RAI’s international sales branch also includes a taster of the next film by the Oscar-winning Gabriele Salvatores, which is currently in post-production and is entitled Volare [+lire aussi :

Starring Claudio Santamaria, Valeria Golino, Diego Abatantuono and the young Giulio Pranno, the dramedy, produced by Indiana with RAI Cinema, is based on a true story, as told by Fulvio Ervas in the book Se ti abbraccio non aver paura. The film follows the extraordinary on-the-road adventure from Eastern Italy to the desert roads of the Balkans by a father and son who enjoy a tender, funny, problematic and unique bond.

Also in post-production is the thriller I'm not a Murderer [+lire aussi :

, the second film by Andrea Zaccariello starring Riccardo Scamarcio, Alessio Boni and Claudia Gerini. Also adapted from a book – Francesco Caringella’s eponymous novel – the film was produced by Pepito Produzioni and Viola Film with RAI Cinema, and is a noir about a mysterious murder involving a public prosecutor (read the news), a motive-less murder and an incredible investigation, with a shocking finale.

RAI Com will also be pinning its hopes on another thriller at Berlin, which has already been released in Italian cinemas. Una storia senza nome [+lire aussi :

by Roberto Andò was originally screened out-of-competition at Venice in 2018, after being co-produced by BiBi Film Tv and the French outfit Agat Films & Cie - Ex Nihilo with RAI Cinema. The film stars Micaela Ramazzotti, Alessandro Gassman and Laura Morante and tells the story of the mysterious theft of a famous Caravaggio painting, The Nativity, a true story that occurred in Palermo in 1969. is more of a musical drama, in which Barbora Bobulova sings alongside the young Alessandro Piavani. Letizia Lamartire’s film, which was screened at Venice International Film Critics’ Week in 2018, is a CSC - Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia Production co-production with RAI Cinema.

 by Andrea Sorini, about the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. In 1953, an unnamed area of desert on the banks of the River Syr Darya was invaded by Soviet scientists, who started work on an ambitious, utopian project that would change the history of humanity: exploring space.
