Guests from across the world of Italian cinema, a convention of the leading global distributors, first-class premieres for industry professionals, events and gatherings catering to the tastes of the wider public… This 8th edition of the national film industry event, Ciné - Giornate di Cinema is set to impress. Promoted and supported by Anica in partnership with Anec and Anem, Ciné will run from 2 to 5 July in its usual coastal home of Riccione.

Among the many distributors presenting next season’s titles at Ciné will be Vision Distribution, represented by Pierfrancesco Favino, who will be sharing the new comedy directed by Giovanni Veronesi, Moschettieri del Re [+lire aussi :

stands out from the crowd, the hotly-anticipated film by Stefano Sollima, starring Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin, in cinemas from 18 October via 01 Distribution, an outfit which is also presenting Resta con me, the new US film by Baltasar Kormákur, which tells the true story of a couple who drifted lost in the middle of the Pacific for forty one days, in cinemas 29 August. Also eagerly awaited, the premiere of Unsane, the new thriller by Steven Soderbergh revolving around mental illness, due to be released on 5 July courtesy of 20th Century Fox. Last but not least, there’ll be ample opportunity for professional development thanks to the ANICALAB series of conferences and events on topics relating to the production, distribution and exhibition of films, while workshops entitled “Social Media and Online Content as a Tool for Selling Film” - teaching participants how to use videos, blogs and images on Facebook and Instagram to increase film viewer numbers - and “Millennials and Film: Digital and Social Touchpoints” - exploring the viewing habits of Millennials and Generation Z – will round off the professional learning experience.
