Le Cercle des critiques londoniens a annoncé les nominations pour ses 31èmes Prix du cinéma. Deux favoris britanniques sortent du lot : The King's Speech de Tom Hooper et Another Year de Mike Leigh, avec sept nominations chacun. Le premier long métrage de Clio Barnard, The Arbor, fait aussi partie des challengers, avec quatre nominations.

La cérémonie de remise des prix sera organisée au BFI Southbank le 10 février prochain. Le Cercle des critiques compte plus de 120 membres, critiques, représentant de chaînes de télévision et auteurs. Son président, Jason Solomons, souligne que "les critiques ont été époustouflés par la variété et l'excellence des nominés de l'année, de vieux favoris en pleine forme, comme Mike Leigh, à de formidables nouveaux venus, comme Clio Barnard avec The Arbor.”
