THE PRIZE

by Alessandro Gassmann

synopsis

Giovanni Passamonte has lived an unrestrained life: he has had many wives, kids and he has written several international best sellers, but time has turned him into a cynical and egocentric man. When he is told that he has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, afraid of flying, he decides to embark on a car journey to Stockholm with his long-time assistant, Rinaldo. Accompanying him on his journey there are also his son Oreste, a personal trainer, and his daughter Lucrezia, a successful blogger. Even though their journey will be rife with misfortune, it will prove to be the chance for them to truly get to know one another.
