Launched in the spring, Wallimpact - the brand-new economic development support fund helmed by the Walloon regional investment fund Wallimage – will lend its support to two projects in these early stages of 2021: a fiction feature film and a series.

Guillaume and Stéphane Malandrin are returning to film direction with Maman, papa, l’extraterrestre et moi, a movie narrating the adventures of an 8-year-old boy and an alien who feeds on the energy released by mobile phones. The film is produced by the (Belgian) firm founded by the Malandrin brothers, Altitude 100. , and Stéphane as a writer (his most recent novel Je suis le fils de Beethoven was published last year).

. The present work is an adaptation of Xavier Dorison and Alex Alice’s French comic book series The Third Testament and is developed by Benoît Roland on behalf of Wrong Men North (Belgium) and in partnership with Wild Atlantic Pictures (Ireland). The first season of this eight-episode medieval adventure series will unfold in Europe at the beginning of the 14th century – a sombre and cruel period during which a secret carried by a legendary relic has the potential to change the world… or else put an end to it.
