ficha de la película] (working title: Ronald Krump), the feature debut from young director Cédric Bourgeois, starring Jean-Benoît Ugeux and Jean-Jacques Rausin in the leading roles.

Frank, a former porn star known under the name Ronald Krump, sees his daughter Sophie kidnapped, with a hefty ransom to pay. Helpless, he turns to his friend Bobby for help. The two friends embark on a crazy journey to save Sophie. 

Cédric Bourgeois was noticed a few years ago with the short film You’re Lost Little Girl (2017), and with the documentary Dreamcatchers (2014), co-directed with Belgian filmmaker Xavier Seron (Death by Death [+lee también:

ficha de la película]). The latter in fact collaborated on the script for Krump, which Cédric Bourgeois wrote with actor and director Jean-Benoît Ugeux, seen recently in Fishlove [+lee también:

ficha de la película] and the series Paris Police 1900, and whose latest short film, La Musique, has won several awards at festivals.

The universe in the pitch for Krump reminds that of Seron and Ugeux, who have often worked together, a dark and absurd universe not lacking in tenderness, and also shared with actor Jean-Jacques Rausin, another hero in the film, winner of the Magritte award for Best Actor a few years ago for Xavier Seron’s Death by Death. In short, it’s a family affair.

Also in the cast is the young actress Elise Havelange, discovered in the short film Les Dauphines, as well as the excellent Babetida Sadjo (the series Into the Night, And Breathe Normally [+lee también:

Filming, which is taking place in Brussels, will conclude on 2 April.
