This year, the Trieste Film Festival is getting ready to celebrate a twofold anniversary: its milestone 30^th edition, and the events that followed the fall of Berlin Wall, which also happened 30 years ago. Running from 18-25 January, the leading Italian festival for Central Eastern European cinema will once again become a meeting point for diverse “longitudes” of European cinema.

The 30^th Trieste Film Festival will open with the new movie by Werner Herzog and André Singer, Meeting Gorbachev [+lee también:

In the side programmes, the Trieste Film Festival will focus on both of the aforementioned 30-year anniversaries, with a series of retrospective screenings for the fall of the Berlin Wall (“Tales from the Berlin Wall”) and its 30^th edition (“1989-2019 Wind of Change”). Finally, among the other parallel events, which include master classes with Jacopo Quadri, Sergei Loznitsa and Ildikó Enyedi, as well as other meetings and Q&As, one whole day will be dedicated to virtual reality, and two experiences will also be available: In the Cave by Ivan Gergolet (Italy) and Kobold by Max Sacker and Ioulia Isserlis (Germany).
