The CEE Animation Workshop, a year-long programme of training, project development and networking for producers and their creative teams, focused on animated or hybrid projects from low-production-capacity countries in Europe, has revealed two of the tutors for the first part of the project, taking place in December in Ljubljana, and has extended the deadline for applications until 29 October.

One of the objectives is to give participants in-depth script mentoring with renowned industry script advisors, and the first two confirmed tutors are Phil Parker and Răzvan Rădulescu.

“Both Phil and Razvan will agree on one essential part of filmmaking – writing a great script. In times when all the focus of the producers is on struggling to find money, we want the whole creative team to learn to concentrate on what’s most important: a good story," explains Juraj Krasnohorsky, one of the organisers of the CEE Animation Workshop. "We are really excited about having such renowned professionals as script advisors, and through Phil, from Western Europe, and Razvan, from the Eastern part of the continent, we can offer our participants different approaches to script development.”

The call for the CEE Animation Workshop is open to producers and creative teams (with animated or hybrid projects of all lengths and types – shorts, features, series, documentary and fiction, but also hybrid projects with a considerable amount of animation), and film professionals without a project (studios, freelancers, public institutions, distributors, broadcasters, etc). Only participants from low-production-capacity countries are eligible to apply, and the programme offers scholarships. For more information, click here.
