. The film, which had its world premiere in Berlinale’s Panorama, will be screened in the Made in Spain section of San Sebastián. Shot in Galicia and teetering between fiction and documentary, Thirty Souls focuses on 12-year-old Alba, who wants to discover the mysterious, fascinating and unknown reality of death. Accompanied by her best friend, Samuel, she explores abandoned houses, travels through forgotten villages and discovers remote mountains that harbour a parallel world. Their journey will reveal the conflict between the living and the dead.

Toucedo participated in the 2010 edition of San Sebastián with All Night Long, directed by Isaki Lacuesta, on which she worked as an editor. As a director, she’s better known for her documentary experience, and her debut was In All Hands. Since its premiere, Thirty Souls has been screened at multiple international and Spanish film festivals. The movie was co-produced by Lasoga FilmsDiana Toucedo Films and TVG Televisión de Galicia. At present, Toucedo is developing her next project, Puerto Deseado, which will be shot in Argentina.
