Announced with the slogan "rock, love and perestroika," the new film by the Russian filmmaker (well received at Cannes in the Un Certain Regard section in 2016 with Le Disciple, and currently under house arrest) plunges into Leningrad during the summer of 1981. The underground rock scene is booming. A fan of Led Zeppelin and Bowie, young Viktor Tsoi is eager to make a name for himself. An encounter with his idol Mike and his beautiful wife Natasha will change his life forever. Together they will build the legend of Viktor and make him immortal. Summer was produced by the Russian outfit Hype Film with the French company Kinovista.
