is a co-production between Belgium and France that was screened in the Horizons section of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The film follows two brothers who haven’t lived together in a while coming together to open a bar. While they quickly make the bar successful, a new rivalry begins to emerge between them, showing the difficulties of running a family business. The film took home the Best Director Award in the World Cinema Dramatic section at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, and SVoD giant Netflix acquired the rights to distribute the film globally, except in some parts of Europe. We talked to Belgica’s distributors in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Artemio Benki and Sylvie Leray of Film Distribution Artcam, about how they came up with an alternative way to distribute, bearing Netflix’s popularity in mind.
