Peace reigns at CST

Peace has returned to the French Superior Tecnical Commission for Sound and Pictures, an important umbrella association for France’s audiovisual and multimedia sector with around 800 members.
Nerves were running high after the Commission’s new president, Pierre William Glenn, a famous director of photography, threatened to resign in protest against the board’s having fired Yves Louchez, the association’s managing director, at its meeting on 16 September. This state of affairs has got the National Film Centre (CNC) who supply some 80 per cent of the Commission’s budget, very worried indeed.
The CNC therefore called a new meeting during which its director general, David Kessler, apparently managed to persuade Glenn to stay on. The CST and CNC will continue to work closely together as per the contract they signed last June.
