(“The Feelings Factory”), has joined Laetitia Masson’s Coupable (“Guilty”, see news) on the list of French films to be included in the Panorama section of the 58th Berlinale (February 7-17).

Starring Elsa Zylberstein, Jacques Bonnaffé and Bruno Putzulu, La fabrique des sentiments (formerly known as Exclusif, see article) explores the world of speed dating.

Produced by Les Films du Losange, who are also handling international sales and domestic distribution, the film is set to be released in France on February 6.

The feature was made on a budget of €3.6m, including €430,000 in advances on receipts from the National Centre for Cinematography (CNC); €650,000 from France 2 Cinéma; pre-sales from Canal + and CinéCinéma; co-production support from Belgian company Need Productions; as well as financial backing from RTBF and the French Community of Belgium.

Moutout’s debut feature, Work Hard, Play Hard, screened in official competition at the Locarno Film Festival and was nominated for the 2005 Cesar for Best Debut Film.
