The AFCAE, which has a network of 1,000 cinemas (over 2,000 screens), supports around 40 films per year by promoting them to cinemas and audiences in order to encourage their exhibition. Their efforts involve encouraging member cinemas to include the films in their programme, organising preview screenings in different regions of France for the heads of arthouse and experimental cinemas and their partners, circulating prints to promote widespread exhibition and publishing an accompanying brochure for viewers.
