Artificial Eye scoops up two more Berlin titles

Artificial Eye has closed two more acquisition deals on competition titles from last month’s Berlinale – both of which are co-productions between France and Italy that are being sold by French international sales companies (see news) .

The UK distributor picked up rights to Jacques Rivette's Don't Touch the Axe [+see also:

(Pierre Grise Productions, Cinemaundici), which is sold by Les Films du Losange and stars Jeanne Balibar, Guillaume Depardieu, Michel Piccoli and Bulle Ogier.

The second title is Italian filmmaker Saverio Costanzo's In Memory of Myself [+see also:

, starring Christo Jivkov, Filippo Timi, Marco Baliani and Andre Hennicke. The Italian/French co-production (Offside/ Les Films des Tournelles) is handled by the Paris-based company Scalpel.

The two films add to Artificial Eye’s European Market acquisitions, which include Christian Petzold's Silver Lion-winning German film Yella [+see also:
