Graham buys, borrows and steals on the Green Isle
Filming is underway in Belfast on Buy Borrow Steal, the new romantic comedy by British director Eric Styles (Dreaming of Joseph Lees, Relative Values), from an original script by Camilla Leslie.
Produced by Doris Kirch for Germany’s Blue Angel Films, the film stars Heather Graham (Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Bobby) as a 33 year-old woman who breaks up with her boyfriend because he does not share her desire to make a baby after she discovers she is approaching early menopause.
In a desperate attempt to beat the biological clock, she ensues on a series of frantic and elaborate escapades that include Internet sperm donors, night-clubbers and funeral-goers. Mia Kirshner (The Black Dahlia, Exotica) and Tom Ellis (Buffalo Soldiers) co-star.
Buy Borrow Steal will shoot for eight weeks in Northern Ireland and London. The film is co-produced by Michel Morales of Germany’s Miromar Entertainment and funded by the Northern Ireland Film & Television Commission (NIFTC).
