Noble teams up with Midori

Per Samuelsson, CEO of Scandinavian distribution company Noble Entertainment, and Ken Nakamura, President of Midori Multimedia, have just announced the signing of an exclusive representation agreement in all media for Scandinavia, including project tracking, acquisitions (pre-buys, finished products and re-licensing) and co-production activities with particular interest in Asian productions.

”Noble are very proud to develop the co-operation together with Midori, and this is a step for us to broaden our theatrical distribution, as well as distinguish our position as the most interesting distribution company in Scandinavia,” said Samuelsson.

The first official acquisitions for both partners are the UK thriller From London to Brighton by Paul Andrew Williams, which just won the top award in Dinard, and Black Sheep by New Zealander Jonathan King. Acquisitions will continue to be handled by Per Samuelsson, Sara Söderberg and Albert Avramovic from Noble Entertainment’s main office in Stockholm.

Midori Multimedia will also represent Noble in specific acquisitions as well as attend meetings during film markets such as Berlin, Cannes, Toronto and the AFM.

Recent European titles released in Sweden by Noble Entertainment include Anthony Zimmer by French filmmaker Jerôme Salle, the German award-winning drama Napola by Dennis Gansel and the Swedish film Say That You Love Me by Daniel Fridell.
