A good market for Les Films du Losange

The international sales team at Les Films du Losange has come back from Cannes with a smile on its face. The outfit made several deals at the market and more are set to be made, with several negotiations underway.

by Abderrahmane Sissako. The film was quickly snapped up by Switzerland (Trigon Film ), Austria (Kino Swiat) and Benelux ( Cinéart), with negotiations well underway for the UK, the US, Italy and Spain.

by Emmanuel Bourdieu (see article ) should give new life to the film, with the title having found distributors in Benelux (Les Films de l’Elysée) and French-speaking Canada at the festival.

Besides the features presented in the various selections at the festival, Les Films du Losange sold Jardins en automne by Otar Iosseliani (currently in post-production) to almost all European territories. Video sales for Losange were also favourable, with excellent results for four of Michael Haneke’s first films, including Funny Games.
