Another 13 feature films will be sold at the market, including Marion Comer’s debut film 48 Angels, produced by Ireland’s 2006 Producer on the Move John McDonnell; Paul Mercier’s Studs, sold by Moviehouse Entertainment; Mark Hammond’s Johnny Was, sold by Nordisk Film International Sales; and Patrick Kenny’s directorial debut, Winter’s End.

Irish films currently in production include John Boorman’s The Tiger’s Tail, sold by Moviehouse Entertainment; Paddy Breathnach’s latest film, Shrooms, sold by Capitol Films; and David Gleeson’s The Front Line [+see also:

The Irish Pavilion, a joint marketing initiative between the Irish Film Board and The Northern Ireland Film & Television Commission will, as usual, provide the best central point for the Irish presence at Cannes, promoting Irish film and Ireland as a film location. It will be launched on May 21 by Ireland’s Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, John O’Donoghue.
