A Dutch spring

March has been a fruitful month for Dutch productions, with one or two domestic films released each week. A Thousand Kisses, the latest film from Willem van de Sande Bakhuyzen, was distributed by A-Film on March 9, while the screen adaptation of Maarten‘t Hart’s novel of the same name Het Woeden Der Gehele Wereld by Guido Pieters was released last week (see news).

This week, two other films will vie for the favour of the Dutch – Song From the Other Side by Andre van de Hout (1 More Film) and Bolletjes Blues by Karin Junger and Brigit Hillenius (BVI).

On the other hand, March has been much calmer for European productions, with only four films released in the past two weeks: UK/South Africa co-production Tsotsi [+see also:

Next week, however, US productions will dominate Dutch screens, with eight new films. To compete there will only be two new European productions – the musical documentary from Fatih Akin, Crossing the Bridge [+see also:
