film profile] by Luc & Jean-Pierre Dardenne walked away as the Belgian film of the year (see Focus). The film won five of the most prestigious awards: Best Belgian Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Jérémie Renier), Best Actress (Deborah François, in her film debut) and Best Screenplay.
In the other categories, George Van Dam won the Joseph Plateau Award for his score for Yvan Le Moine’s Friday or Another Day, while Danny Elsen was voted Best Belgian DoP of the year. This year, Elsen worked on Dominique Deruddere’s The Wedding Party [+see also:
