"9/11 was unique, the most important event of our lifetime, casting a shadow over all our futures", commented Paul Greengrass. "It’s vital for cinema to begin the task of exploring what it meant, and what it continues to mean today. Hopefully Flight 93 will be a worthy contribution to that process".
Currently filming at Pinewood Studios in London and on location in the UK, the film is produced by Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner and US producer of Boogie Nights Lloyd Levin for Universal Pictures which will release the film in the US in April 28, 2006 and worldwide thereafter.
A website dedicated to the film will be launched today, with information on the production, a forum and a ‘Memorial’ to the passengers and crew of the UA93 Flight.
