European co-production for the next film by Olivier Assayas, Boarding Gate, it brings together an impressive international cast of Asia Argento, Tony Leung (In the Mood for Love), Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and Michael Madsen (Kill Bill). Produced by the French society Rectangle, the 11th feature by the director was a co-production by Luxembourg Samsa Film, British Future Film and French company Wild Bunch who handle international sales.

Written by the director, the screenplay for Boarding Gate retraces the misadventures of a young Italian (Asia Argento) living in London and involved in a passionate affair with a former star of the financial markets (Michael Madsen), while keeping up a double life with lover (Tony Leung) who is setting up a contract hit on the former golden-boy. Caught in this life of crime and dreaming of another life, the young European girl flies off to Hong-Kong where unpleasant surprises await, with the revelation of a plot orchestrated by the wife (Michelle Yeoh) of her lover.
