Nordisk edits Johnny Was

The gangster film Johnny Was starring Patrick Bergin, Mark Assante, Roger Daltrey and Vinnie Jones, is currently being edited by Nordisk Film in their post-production studios in Valby after 31 days shooting in Belfast and London.
The $4m (€ 3.3m) film is the directorial debut of Irish filmmaker Mark Hammond based on a script by fellow writer/journalist Brendan Foley. It was produced by Borderline Productions in Ireland with Affinity Films in the UK and Nordisk Film in Denmark, with financial support from the Irish Film Board and the Northern Ireland Film & Television Commission - NIFTC. Johnny Was is also the first in a row of new international co-productions in which Nordisk Film is investing money or labour such as post-production.
"The Danish film industry has a lot to offer, including in terms of post-production", says Lars Hermann, Head of co-production for Nordisk Film. "We hope that Johnny Was will attract more productions to Denmark, and the rushes look promising. The goal with this intelligent thriller is to appeal both to a US and European audience."
