by Marco Tullio Giordana and the best director is Ferzan Ozpetek for Cuore sacro. Both filmmakers received their Golden Globes on Saturday night, during the ceremony organised at the German Academy in Rome.
Giordana's film also earned Matteo Gadola and Alessio Boni awards, as, respectively, Best Young Actor and Actor-revelation of the year, while Barbara Bobulova was elected Best Actress for her role in Cuore sacro.

The Consequences of Love by Paolo Sorrentino received three Golden Globes: actress-revelation of the year (Olivia Magnani), Best Script (for Sorrentino himself) and Grand Prix of the Foreign Press. Kim Rossi Stuart is the Best Actor of the year for Le chiavi di casa [+see also:

by Gianni Amelio, while Saverio Costanzo is the Director-revelation of the year with Private.

The Best First film is La spettatrice by Paolo Franchi. The best picture went to Cesare Accetta (in Il resto di niente by Antonietta De Lillo), the best music to Andrea Morricone (in Raul-diritto di uccidere by Andrea Bolognini), the best short film to Christian Angeli (Fa bene Mikles) and the best documentary to Raffaele Brunetti (Mitumba). Paolo and Vittorio Taviani received an award for their entire career, while Tony Renis got a special Golden Globe for the song in Christmas in Love by Neri Parenti. Tonino Delli Colli's career also won him a special prize and the distributor of the year is Domenico Procacci's company Fandango. At European level, the best film is Life is a Miracle by Emir Kusturica and Monica Bellucci was granted a European Golden Globe.
