The second feature length film by Cláudia Tomaz, Us, is being released in Portuguese cinemas today, distributed by Atalanta Filmes.

This Portuguese/French co-production (Madragoa Filmes, Gémini Films (FR) and RTP - Radiotelevisão Portuguesa) won the Boccalino Prize - an award that recognizes the best film presented in all the sections of the Locarno Film Festival 2003, including international competition.

Us is the story of Francisco, who has just got out of jail after serving a six year term. He soon becomes tired of being alone and he puts an ad in the paper - ‘Man Seeks Woman For Conversation’, which brings Angela into his life.
