- European countries reveal their titles submitted for the Best International Feature Film Award at the 2023 Academy Awards

With the 95th Academy Awards ceremony scheduled to take place in Hollywood on 12 March, 2023, European countries are starting to reveal their titles submitted for the Best International Feature Film Award.
For this edition, submitted films must have been released in their respective countries between the dates of 1 January and 30 November 2022, and the deadline for submissions is 3 October. Fifteen finalists will be selected from the total number of submissions and announced at the end of the year, before the Academy whittles that number down to five, which it will announce as the final nominees at the beginning of 2023.
Last year, a total of 93 countries submitted a film, with 92 submissions being accepted, and 40 coming from a European country. Japan's submission, Ryusuke Hamaguchi's Drive My Car, ended up winning the coveted trophy.
