Written by Szófia Kemény and Rozália Szeleczki, the script centres around Fáni, a young woman aged 30 who gave up on falling in love long ago because of her troubled past. But one day, a black cat starts courting her. Although Fáni is a successful architect, she remains a little girl at heart, and she falls under the spell of this macho cat, even though she’s the only person who hears his voice. This unusual romance unfolds with strange twists and turns, until Fáni loses almost everything that was important to her because of the narcissistic cat. Meanwhile, she doesn't even notice that Mihály, the cat's charming owner, is also courting her…

Produced by Petra Iványi for Lupa Pictures, Cat Call is co-produced by RTL Hungary and benefitted from the support of the Incubator programme of the National Film Institute (NFI). The photography will be handled by Kristóf M Deák. Distribution in Hungarian cinemas will be guided by Fórum Hungary.

For the record, Petra Iványi recently produced (on behalf of Filmteam) Mátyás Szabó's Wandering Leaves and Attila Hartung's FOMO: Fear of Missing Out [+see also:
