Having previously stolen focus with his short films (notably Alexis Ivanovitch vous êtes mon héros which scooped a Special Mention at Critics’ Week 2011, and Mademoiselle, unveiled in Venice’s Orizzonti section in 2014), the neo-filmmaker has assembled a cast comprising Alysson Paradis (Inside [+see also:

), the story begins with the burial of Raphaël. Lola doesn’t know what to do with all her anger, nor does she know what to do with other people’s sorrow. She decides to flee the funeral and forces her big sister Margaux, who she’s not as close to as she used to be, to take her and her son Gaspard far, far away from this sad ceremony. Over the course of this off-the-cuff journey, the two sisters rediscover one another and re-learn what it is to be free… Notably free not to want to bury the man that they love.

Produced by Nicolas Blanc and David Coujard on behalf of Agat Films & Cie, Amore Mio has been pre-purchased by Ciné+ and enjoys the support of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (where some of the six-week film shoot will unfold, as well as in Paris and Sardinia).
