The second Dot.on.the.map Industry Days is awaiting its guests

The co-production, training and networking platform Dot.on.the.map Industry Days is being organised for the second consecutive year, and it will be held online from 21-23 April as an integral part of the 19th Cyprus Film Days International Festival (16-25 April).

As was the case at its inaugural edition last year, Dot.on.the.map Industry Days aims to invite producers, directors and scriptwriters from the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea as well as from all three continents – Europe, Asia and Africa – neighbouring Cyprus in order to meet and network with international film professionals, explore co-production and distribution opportunities, discuss new projects in development, and pursue cross-border collaborations.

The programme features Dot.on.the.map Meeting Point, which serves as an international co-production forum where the filmmakers behind the selected projects, which are currently at the development and financing stage, will have a chance to pitch their works and find the right future partners for co-productions, financing, development and distribution. The selection for this year will be announced in the coming days. Dot.on.the.map Cinema Talks, the event’s other section, offers a series of master classes, debates, seminars and workshops with acclaimed industry professionals, and the exact programme will be confirmed closer to the date.

Film professionals who are actively working on, producing and promoting audiovisual works for the film industry (producers, directors, scriptwriters, sales agents, distributors, buyers, festival representatives, film funds and institutions, TV channel and platform representatives) along with film critics and members of the press who are actively writing about cinema are invited to apply for an accreditation for Dot.on.the.map Industry Days. The fee is €10, and professionals can apply here no later than Friday 9 April.

The whole package that is offered with each accreditation includes access to the online private webspace of the event, the possibility to watch the Dot.on.the.map Meeting Point pitching sessions on 21 April, priority access to the Cinema Talks and any other webinars and master classes, and free tickets to all of the physical theatrical screenings of the Cyprus Film Days IFF in Cyprus. Furthermore, each accredited guest can also have his or her profile listed in the online catalogue of the event and will have the opportunity to take part in matchmaking and networking through pre-arranged, one-on-one meetings, which are subject to availability and will take place on a priority basis.

More information can be found here, and the head of the market, Danae Stylianou, is available via email, at dotonthemap@cyprusfilmdays.com, for any clarifications.

Dot.on.the.map Industry Days is organised by the Cyprus Film Days International Festival, the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth and the Rialto Theatre, in partnership with the Thessaloniki International Film Festival’s Agora, and it is supported by the Directors Guild of Cyprus and Initiative Film. Full Moon Productions is sponsoring the awards.
